To strengthen the team in St. Gallen we are looking for a bright, ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager Syringes. In this role you will report to the Head of Global Business Development for the syringe business and work closely with both Sales and Product Management. You will play an important part in SCHOTT’s syringe business, working with well educated and experienced professionals in a challenging, growing environment.

The main responsibilities in this position involve:
Lead business development process – acquisition of new customers and new projects with existing clients; negotiate specifications and terms
Understand SCHOTT’s technical capabilities and translate those (in close cooperation with Sales and Product Management) into a compelling offering based on clear value propositions and tangible unique selling propositions
Perform brand and product related presentations to potential customers and other industry-relevant audiences
Developing an in-depth Market Intelligence of the global Syringe segment, analyze and assess customer information as well as market and competitors
Provide fiscal year forecast and 3 years sales plan
Initiate and execute business development projects

Desired Skills and Experience
This crucial role requires an excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotech industry with ideally specialized knowledge of the parental packaging segment. We expect:
Engineering background (Chemistry, Pharmacy, Medical Engineering) combined with a MBA or equivalent
A minimum of 4 years work experience in a technical sales / business development role in a B2B environment within an international organization is a must
Strong interpersonal and excellent communication, presentation and networking skills, which enable you to liaise effectively to customers and other stakeholders

You are fluent in English and ideally also in German and/or French speaking . You show a strong drive for results and have a deep rooted desire to develop the business; concrete acquisition success stories should prove this point. Approximately 50% international travelling has to be expected in this role.
