An urgent contract requirement for an outsourcing manager in oncology for a large global pharmaceutical company based in Switzerland. The contract will last 6 months but will be highly likely to extend as this pharma company has a very strong pipeline in Oncology. You will be the responsible for a number of different areas, including negotiating contract terms and conditions, assisting clinical teams with definition of work specifications, communication and issue escalation plans. You will be working in a number of different departments within the company and adhering to policies, minimizing the risk. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large pharmaceutical company and gain wider exposure to a multitude of clinical projects.

The Company

Based in an ideal location in Switzerland, the company is a large global pharmaceutical company where their business spans across a multitude of therapy areas including Oncology. They have a number of different indications and have more recently discovered new indications and have several product launches lined up. This is a fantastic time to join the company as they are have a number of new exciting studies which you will be a part of.

The Role

You will be a lead in the external service provider and ensure compliance with Vendor due diligence. You will be working in collaboration with study teams, ensure vendors are delivering to contract milestones and quality standards. You will be in charge of contact management and negotiate all contracts with vendors/providers. You be working in a cross matrix function across a number of different business areas, liaising with key internal stakeholders. This is a very high profile role. You will have come from a background in life sciences gained from tertiary education. You will have been working in drug development for a minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry either directly in-house or from a vendor/provider working on outsourcing / contracting and sourcing of clinical services with experience in proposals, legal terms and business development. You will have expertise in the CRO/central labs/specialist provider of the market place and understand the clinical development business area and effectively manage clinical trials. You will be financially astute and will have an excellent financial understanding of costs and help reduce where possible utilising comparative analysis.
